We have an exciting opportunity for a BANK Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Five Wells, a category C Prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
HMP Five Wells has a capacity of 1800 males. HMP Five Wells is a GPHC Registered Pharmacy, the prison has its own pharmacy on site with 7 administration points based on each house block and will be working as part of a large pharmacy team of 14 BANK Hours:- Monday - Sunday
- Weekdays - 7am - 7.15pm
- Weekends - 8.00am - 5.30pm
- Weekdays - £21.76
- Weekends - £23.61
- Bank Holidays - £28.33

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- You will assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.
- You will be required to work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison services needs.
- promote safe patient care
- develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

- Hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.

- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
