Credit Controller

Location: London Victoria

Duration and hours: 12-month fixed term contract, 9am-5pm with 30 minutes for lunch

Hybrid policy: Office based 4 days per week

Are you a driven Credit Controller or Accounts Assistant with confidence to work in a fast-paced, high-volume role? Reed Accountancy is supporting a well-established tech business in Victoria to recruit a Credit Controller into their friendly head office finance team for a 12-month fixed term contract.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role requires someone with a communicative, confident and proactive approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Full management of the Sales Ledger from chasing overdue payments via phone and email, issuing statements to resolving queries from customers
• Process card payments
• Ensure that department managers are made aware of any issues they need to deal with (relating to the collection of debt) and ensure that any such issues are recorded on the system
• Control and process all system reports relating to the sales ledger and ensure that any problems that occur are dealt with on a timely basis
• Agree sales ledger to control accounts at month-end and produce reports as required
• Allocation of customer receipts
• Customer account reconciliation
• Assist with Legal proceedings when issues are escalated
• Monitor credit control mailbox and deal with phone queries
• Ensure information is kept up to date

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in a sole-charge Credit Control role
• Previous experience in highly transactional businesses is essential
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Fantastic communication skills, proactive and very organised
• Enthusiastic to control the ledger and take full responsibility
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision
