Job OverviewThis role supports a financial services customer and requires candidates to pass financial clearance. The successful candidate will provide both on-site and remote desktop support, perform hardware break-fix activities on desktops, laptops and peripherals, support Dell laptop environments, manage incidents through ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools, and maintain Citrix and Windows 11 environments. The position also involves supporting bank branch infrastructure, including thin clients, network connectivity, chip-and-pin devices, voucher readers and passbook printers, while delivering excellent customer service. A driving licence and access to transport may be required, as occasional travel to bank branches across Scotland may be necessary, with mileage reimbursed.

Job Title: IT Support Technician (Level 2)

Location: Edinburgh EH2 4LH

Rate: PAYE - £14.90/hr (Basic) or UMB £19.33 per hour (Inside IR35)

Start/End Date: 1st Sep-2026 to 1st Sep-2027

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 09:00-05:30PM

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Services' customer - will need to be able to pass financial clearance
• Provide on-site and remote desktop support to end-users
• Perform standard hardware break-fix tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Manage and support Dell laptops, ensuring certification standards are met.
• Utilise ServiceNow or similar platforms for logging and updating support calls.
• Support and maintain Citrix environments
• Knowledge of Win 11
• Deliver excellent customer service, addressing user issues promptly and professionally.
• Understand and support the setup of bank branches, including thin clients, network configurations, and peripherals such as chip and pin devices, voucher readers, and passbook printers.
• Driving Licence/transport may be required, as there may be a requirement to support some branches in Scotland - mileage will be paid for this
