We are recruiting a Site Engineer to join a tier-one main contractor on one of the UK's most significant long-term water infrastructure programmes. This is an exceptional opportunity to get involved in a flagship mega-project from its crucial early phases, focusing on ground investigations, enabling works, and major civil infrastructure.
The RoleWorking within the primary project delivery team, you will take ownership of setting-out accuracy, technical QA, and daily engineering control across early-stage civils and site setup. Your day-to-day will involve:

Setting Out & Dimensional Control: Executing accurate engineering control for enabling works, earthworks, access roads, and site infrastructure using modern GPS and total station equipment.

Technical QA & Inspections: Managing quality assurance through ITP sign-offs, as-built surveys, photographic records, and raising TQs/RFIs to resolve design queries.

Site Supervision: Monitoring daily subcontractor outputs, tracking progress against lookahead schedules, and maintaining detailed site diaries.

HSEQ Compliance: Driving strict safety and environmental standards on site, ensuring full adherence to RAMS and ecological/site constraints.

Handover & Records: Compiling precise engineering data, surveys, and site documentation to support project delivery milestones.

Heavy Civils / Water Experience: Proven track record as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering projects (heavy earthworks, water infrastructure, utilities, or major highways).

Equipment Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern robotic total stations and GPS survey equipment.

Qualifications: Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent construction qualification).

Site Credentials: Valid CSCS card and SMSTS or SSSTS.

Location & Mobility: Commutable to the Oxford/Abingdon region with a full UK driving licence.
