Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Ipswich, starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and looking to develop their career within a nurturing educational environment that provides strong mentorship and ongoing professional development.
The school is looking for a compassionate and committed practitioner with excellent behaviour management skills and a genuine desire to help pupils with additional needs achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.
CONTRACT DETAILS
- Location - Ipswich
- Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
- Type of work - Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Start date - September
- Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
- Full time/part-time - Full time
- Rate of pay - £90-£100 per day (depending on experience)
- Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school, alternative provision, care, or similar setting (placements accepted)
- Knowledge of additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Difficulties, or SEMH is desirable
- Relevant Teaching Assistant, SEN, or Childcare qualifications are advantageous
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional child-related references
