Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Ipswich, starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential within a positive and inclusive educational environment.
The school is looking for a caring and committed individual with strong communication skills, effective behaviour management strategies, and a genuine desire to support children's academic, social, and emotional development.
CONTRACT DETAILS
- Location - Ipswich
- Position - Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
- Type of work - Classroom and individual pupil support
- Start date - September
- Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
- Full time/part-time - Full time
- Rate of pay - £90-£100 per day (depending on experience)
- Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, youth work, or similar setting (placements accepted)
- Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs is desirable
- Relevant LSA, Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or Education qualifications are advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional child-related references
