Mechanical Engineer - 12 Month Contract
Birmingham / Hybrid Working
Outside IR35 - £55 per hour

What will you be doing?
• Supporting mechanical engineering activities across the full project lifecycle
• Delivering front-end engineering studies and concept designs
• Producing detailed mechanical design documentation
• Supporting HAZOPs and other safety reviews
• Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Supporting commissioning and on-site activities when required
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
• Supporting equipment specification, layout reviews and technical calculations
Where will you be doing it?
You'll be joining a well-established engineering business delivering complex projects within highly regulated industrial environments. Their teams work on technically demanding projects covering everything from early-stage studies through to full delivery and commissioning.
What you'll need:
• Experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within industrial or process environments
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from FEED/concept through to commissioning
• Experience supporting or participating in HAZOP studies
• Experience producing mechanical design documentation
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, valves, pumps and associated equipment
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
