Children With Disabilities Social Worker

We are hiring an experienced Qualified Social Worker for a locum position within the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Kirklees.

Role Details

• Position: Locum CWD Social Worker

• Location: Huddersfield / Kirklees (Hybrid Working)

• Pay Rate:£35.00 per hour (Umbrella)

• Contract: Ongoing Locum (Full-Time, 37 hrs/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Complete outcome-focused assessments for children and young people with severe and complex disabilities.

• Manage Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (LAC) plans.

• Coordinate specialist short breaks, direct payment packages, and multi-agency support.

• Collaborate closely with SEN teams, health professionals, occupational therapists, and schools.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Social Work with active Social Work England registration.

• Minimum 2 years post-qualifying experience in a statutory CWD, Safeguarding, or Locality team.

• Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

• DBS registered on the Update Service.
