Payroll Specialist – UK, EMEA & ACE

Reporting to the EMEA Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payrolls for UK, EMEA, and ACE countries, liaising with HR and country teams
- Managing payrolls against agreed country schedules
- Processing payrolls for multiple countries including Czech, Denmark, Dubai, Finland, India, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, with potential for further expansion
- Improving systems, processes, and payroll delivery environment to maximise efficiency and accuracy
- Owning or contributing to projects such as system upgrades and process changes
- Managing and resolving client escalations, raising issue tickets with payroll vendors, and ensuring timely resolution
- Implementing and testing changes in payroll applications
- Ensuring compliance through self-audit and SOX tests
- Preparing monthly/quarterly payroll journals and assisting with accounting functions
- Filing year-end returns with relevant authorities
- Daily interaction with HR, line managers, accountants, and other staff to resolve payroll queries
- Previous experience in a payroll function within an organisation of similar scale and complexity (Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Officer, Payroll Accountant
- Proven experience of processing UK, Europe, and ACE payrolls
- Experience of payroll accounting
- Demonstrate experience of using word processing and spreadsheet applications (Word and Excel)
- Strong experience in customer support
