Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: up to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Solihull

Tirebuck Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Customer Service Coordinator on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Solihull. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, customer-focused professional who enjoys coordinating multiple priorities, building positive relationships and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
Working as part of a busy Customer Service team, you will be responsible for coordinating reported defects and customer care works from initial notification through to completion. You will act as an important link between customers, clients, site teams, subcontractors and internal departments, ensuring works are progressed efficiently and everyone is kept informed along the way.
This role would suit someone who is confident communicating by telephone, comfortable handling challenging conversations and able to remain calm and professional when managing complaints or competing priorities. Previous experience within construction, property or housebuilding would be advantageous, but strong customer service, administration and coordination experience will also be considered.
What you will be doing
- Taking ownership of reported defects from initial notification through to completion and close-out.
- Recording, coordinating and following up customer care works to ensure they are progressed efficiently.
- Liaising with customers to arrange works, provide updates and support the successful completion of outstanding issues.
- Coordinating works with operational teams and managing the daily movement of Customer Care operatives.
- Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, Technical and Commercial teams to resolve outstanding issues.
- Providing regular updates to Contract Managers regarding live and outstanding defects.
- Maintaining accurate weekly reports for clients and providing updates on outstanding works.
- Ensuring effective communication between customers, clients, sites, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Escalating concerns, complaints or issues appropriately to the Customer Care Manager.
- Raising invoices and collating supporting documentation following completion of chargeable works.
- Following up outstanding client debt and escalating where appropriate.
- Communicating with the Commercial team regarding outstanding pricing and defect-related queries.
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience within a customer service, customer care, administration or coordination role.
- Excellent telephone communication skills, with the confidence to handle potentially challenging or confrontational situations professionally.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple live issues and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify issues and see them through to resolution.
- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine commitment to providing a positive experience.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The ability to remain calm, patient and professional under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- A high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Previous experience within construction, property or housebuilding would be desirable but is not essential.
