Job summary

Our Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service at HMP Dovegate is looking for an experienced Mental Health Professionals to join its friendly and professional team. The variety of the role will keep things fresh and stimulating and you will be part of a supportive team with effective management providing supervision and guidance. If you: o are a qualified RMN, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with a flexible approach and want to work in a team that encourages new ideas and feedback on how to improve the service; o share our values and are committed to providing high quality care and developing you own skills; o have confidence in dealing with a wide range of situations and other professionals to provide the best care to people within the prison; o are enthusiastic about working within an ever-changing prison environment; o would like to work within a fully multi-disciplinary team to provide varied and comprehensive interventions in-line with the stepped care model. Main duties of the job
Provision of mental health interventions to Service Users within the prison establishment across wellbeing, primary and secondary mental health.
This will involve being responsible for managing their own caseload, including assessments, care planning, delivering interventions and reviewing care of patients located within the prison with a mental illness, within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach.
Post holders are expected to work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team to provide advice and support to primary health care based within the prison and to liaise with, and provide advice and support to statutory and non-statutory agencies.
To provide specialist mental health interventions to service users in the prison.
