HR Director

3 Month Fixed Term Contract

Swindon (hybrid) - with some travel to other sites for occasional meetings

Reed is delighted to be supporting a large and complex public sector organisation in the appointment of an experienced HR Director on a 3-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic HR leader to join a senior leadership team during a period of organisational transformation and change. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the people agenda, partnering with senior stakeholders and leading a high-performing HR function.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across the HR and people agenda
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leaders
• Lead workforce transformation and organisational change initiatives
• Drive employee engagement, inclusion and culture programmes
• Oversee employee relations, workforce planning and people operations
• Develop and coach senior HR leaders and business partnering teams
• Ensure delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused HR service

About You

The successful candidate will be a credible and influential HR professional with a strong track record of operating at senior leadership level within a complex organisation.

You will bring:

• Significant senior HR leadership experience
• Experience shaping and delivering people strategies
• Strong organisational development and change management expertise
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Experience leading multidisciplinary HR teams
• The ability to operate strategically whilst maintaining operational oversight

Experience within the public sector, healthcare or another highly regulated environment would be advantageous.
