Job summary

Are you ready to take the next step in your Consultant career, or looking for an exciting opportunity to broaden your experience in a leading specialist centre? Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) is seeking a motivated, compassionate and ambitious Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Consultant to join our paediatric HSCT programme.

As one of Europe's leading children's hospitals, BRHC is renowned for delivering exceptional patient care, pioneering research and innovation. We are proud of our collaborative culture, commitment to excellence and dedication to improving outcomes for children and young people.

We are aiming to carry out approximately 25 allogeneic transplants annually. Individuals with expertise in stem cell transplantation, alongside other subspecialty interests would be welcome to apply. The job description is for a consultant with an interest in bone marrow transplantation and cytopenias, but for the right candidate we can be flexible with the details of the non-transplant component of the job plan (which is expected to be around 50% of the role).

Main duties of the job

  • Has experience teaching and training registrars within the department.
  • Demonstrates strong clinical leadership when caring for children and their families.
  • Has excellent communication skills and enjoys working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Is enthusiastic about service development and innovation in stem cell transplantation, cellular therapies and gene therapies.

This role includes participation in the Consultant on-call rota, including weekend commitments.

Join Our Team
