The opportunity
Our client is a well-known name in the global entertainment industry and is about to integrate two businesses. This brand new role has been created to put finance at the heart of that process; you will combine hands-on management accounting with true business partnering, working with senior stakeholders across both sides of the business, supporting decisions and helping bring two finance functions together.
What you will be doing
- Producing accurate, timely month end management accounts, with clear variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Acting as the trusted finance partner to budget holders and senior leaders, turning the numbers into commercial insight
- Owning budgeting and forecasting cycles, including monthly forecast updates
- Supporting the finance workstreams of the integration, including aligning processes, reporting and systems across the two businesses
- Building and maintaining financial models to track integration costs, synergies and performance
- Preparing management information and KPI reporting for the leadership team
- Identifying and driving process improvements and efficiencies as the combined business takes shape
- Working closely with operational colleagues, including at the Uxbridge site, so the finance view is consistent across locations
What we are looking for
Essential
- UK qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with around 2 to 5 years post qualification experience
- Strong management accounting, business partnering and forecasting experience, with the confidence to challenge and influence non-finance colleagues
- Experience working in a business going through change, transformation or integration
- A hands on, roll your sleeves up approach, comfortable with the detail as well as the bigger picture
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- Event or live entertainment experience
- US reporting skills
- Audit background
Why this role
- A high profile role with real exposure to senior leadership during a genuine period of change
- Chance to shape how a newly combined finance function works
- Real prospect of a permanent position for the right person
- Immediate start, so a quick and straightforward process
