After School Club Assistant - Purley, Croydon

Tradewind are Teaching Assistants interested in part-time and flexible support work at a primary school based in the Purley area. We specifically provide support for wrap-around care, and require an engaging and commited After School Club Assistant for this long-term contract!

This role is perfect for individuals seeking part-time work whilst continuing a career supporting children in education. As an After School Club Assistant, you will provide support and host activities with children between 2:45pm - 6:15pm daily. We would ideally seek a TA with prior experience working in a primary or nursery setting, but not compulsory.

What to expect as a After School Club Assistant? Responsibilities include:

• Supervise children and ensure their safety and wellbeing.

• Organise and assist with fun, age-appropriate activities.

• Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork, and social development.

• Support children with homework and individual needs.

• Prepare and serve snacks while following hygiene procedures.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment.

• Manage attendance and ensure safe collection by authorised adults.

• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.

• Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns.

• Support children's emotional wellbeing and inclusion.

• Follow health and safety policies and club procedures

Pay: £15.00 hourly rate with 2 hours paid as a minimum for all staff. After school club assistance role is set to 3 hours from 2:45pm - 6:15pm.
