Senior Project Controls & Implementation Consultant
About this job
Method Grid; one platform to connect knowledge, process and delivery.
Founded in 2016, we're an ambitious, growing technology business working with some of the UK's largest organisations across the built environment, infrastructure and professional services sectors.
We help organisations bring structure and consistency to the way they deliver complex projects, combining consultancy expertise with our own technology platform to turn processes, methodologies and knowledge into practical, usable playbooks.
We're looking for experienced Senior Consultants with backgrounds in infrastructure, engineering or major capital programmes to join us on a significant transformation project for a major UK organisation.
This is a hands-on consulting engagement, focused on implementing and embedding consistent project delivery methodologies across a large and complex portfolio of projects.
The contract will run from January through to September 2027, with approximately 95% of the work delivered remotely.
The Role
We're looking for consultants who understand how major infrastructure and engineering projects are planned, governed and delivered – and, importantly, have experience improving the way organisations manage them.
You'll be working alongside experienced delivery professionals and client stakeholders to implement a structured project delivery lifecycle across a significant portfolio of projects.
A key part of your role will involve interpreting complex project delivery methodologies, governance frameworks and operational processes, translating them into clear, structured and practical digital playbooks using the Method Grid platform.
But this isn't simply a process mapping exercise.
You'll be responsible for helping project teams adopt these new ways of working, ensuring that the processes and frameworks we develop are practical, consistently applied and embedded into everyday project delivery.
You'll need to combine strong analytical and consulting skills with the ability to get into the detail, challenge existing approaches and turn complex information into something people can actually use.
About You
We're particularly interested in hearing from consultants who have developed their careers within management consultancy, professional services or specialist infrastructure and engineering consultancies.
You'll have significant experience working with major infrastructure, engineering, construction, energy or capital investment programmes, with a strong understanding of project delivery lifecycles, governance, controls and assurance.
Crucially, you'll have demonstrable experience implementing project delivery frameworks, methodologies or operational improvements within complex organisations, rather than simply providing advice or producing recommendations.
You'll be comfortable engaging with senior project and programme professionals, facilitating discussions, interpreting detailed technical information and translating it into clear, structured processes.
You'll also have the confidence to challenge constructively, work independently and take ownership of delivering tangible outcomes for clients.
Experience with digital project delivery or process management platforms would be useful, but previous experience with Method Grid isn't required. We'll provide the training you need.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a major transformation programme, working with experienced consultants and delivery professionals on a project of genuine scale and complexity.
You'll be joining Method Grid at an exciting stage in our development, helping us demonstrate how technology and consultancy expertise can come together to improve the way major projects are delivered.
The engagement offers remote working, with occasional travel for key client workshops and stakeholder meetings.
If this sounds like the sort of challenge you'd enjoy, we'd love to hear from you.
Please send us your CV, an indication of your availability and a brief outline of your relevant consulting and industry experience.
