Business Analyst / GIS SME - GIS Transformation - Paying between £500 to £600 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in South Wales, Hybrid Working, To Start ASAP
Your new role
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst / GIS SME to support a major GIS and technology transformation programme.You'll work across business, operational and technical teams to understand how GIS is currently used, define future requirements and help ensure new solutions, processes and ways of working meet the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyse and document business and user requirements
- Map current and future state business processes and GIS workflows
- Translate operational requirements into clear functional requirements
- Act as a bridge between business users and GIS/technical delivery teams
- Facilitate workshops with operational, technical and programme stakeholders
- Support solution design, testing, UAT and implementation
- Identify business, process, data and system impacts
- Work closely with Change, Programme, Project and Technical Leads throughout delivery and go-live
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong Business Analysis experience across technology or digital transformation programmes
- Experience gathering and documenting complex business and functional requirements
- Strong process mapping, workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience bridging the gap between business and technical teams
- Experience supporting testing, UAT and implementation
- Good understanding of GIS / geospatial systems and processes
- Esri ArcGIS experience would be highly desirable
