As a legal counsel Oxford, you will handle day-to-day legal work for a professional services organisation and help keep legal matters clear and well managed. You will work within the Legal department, providing practical legal input that supports the business.

Description

• Provide day-to-day legal advice to help colleagues make informed business decisions.
• Review, draft and negotiate legal documents to support business activities.
• Manage legal queries from internal stakeholders and provide clear, practical guidance.
• Maintain organised legal records and documentation for easy access and reference.
• Identify legal issues within business activities and advise on appropriate next steps.
• Work with external legal advisers where required to progress specific matters.
• Support the Legal department with ongoing legal projects and priorities.

Profile

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

• Experience providing practical legal advice in a commercial setting.
• Ability to draft, review and negotiate a range of legal documents.
• Confidence managing legal queries and prioritising a varied workload.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills when explaining legal matters.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing legal documentation.
• Ability to work independently while building effective relationships with colleagues.
