Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a growing, acquisitive business in South Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Group Accounting Manager on a 7-month fixed-term contract.

This is a newly created role within the Group finance team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of key areas of financial reporting, strengthen accounting processes and support the continued development of the Group finance function.

Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you'll play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity business, whilst supporting wider projects and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing Group financial reporting and consolidation processes across multiple entities

• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany balances and accounting treatments to ensure accuracy and consistency

• Strengthening financial controls, reporting processes and accounting policies across the Group

• Providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and reporting matters

• Supporting the implementation of upcoming FRS 102 changes, particularly around lease accounting and revenue recognition

• Preparing technical accounting papers and supporting the application of relevant accounting standards

• Working closely with external auditors and advisers on statutory reporting and technical accounting matters

• Supporting an ongoing ERP transformation project, ensuring financial reporting and control requirements are considered

• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, processes and the quality of financial information

Key Skills:

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA

• Strong technical accounting background with experience in Group reporting and consolidations

• Previous experience working within a multi-entity or complex Group structure

• Sound knowledge of FRS 102 and financial reporting requirements

• Confident reviewing balance sheets, intercompany transactions and accounting policies

• Experience improving financial controls and reporting processes

• Strong Excel skills and comfortable working across multiple finance systems

• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and engage confidently with senior stakeholders
