167 Solutions is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) for an initial 6-month contract with a client based in Dublin.

This is a hybrid contract opportunity offering a competitive daily rate of €400–€550, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting Oracle database environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, security and reliability across business-critical systems.

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Support database backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes.
• Perform database maintenance, upgrades and patching.
• Identify and resolve database performance and availability issues.
• Ensure database security, stability and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with infrastructure, application and technical teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of database systems and processes.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database technologies.
• Experience supporting enterprise database environments.
• Good understanding of database performance tuning and optimisation.
• Experience with backup, recovery and high availability solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
