Job summary

Sulis Hospital Bath, a leading healthcare provider in Somerset, has an amazing opportunity for a Radiology Department Lead to join the hospital, to provide professional, specialist clinical leadership to the radiographic team to ensure that the Radiography services provided are of a high quality and responsive to patient requirements.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible and accountable for the daily management of the endo and decontamination suite, managing a wide range of complex and conflicting priorities, including staff management. To maintain high standard of professional practice, ensuring that departmental protocols and policies are followed and that examinations are performed to the required standard. If you have experience of working as part of a Radiography team and/or Multidisciplinary team, have substantial operational management experience with a track record of effective performance at senior level.

There is an on-call commitment. Full time, Permanent. Mon-Sun, with various shift patterns. This role requires DBS clearance. If you have energy, excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and attitude with commitment to deliver and improve patient care then we would like to hear from you. • Current state registration.
• Evidence of relevant courses/CPD.
• Minimum of three years post qualification Radiography experience.
• Experience of working as part of a Radiography team and/or Multidisciplinary team.
• HCPC Registered
• Substantial operational management experience.
• Track record of effective performance at senior level.
• Track record in providing expert advice and guidance to multi-professional staff.
• Delegated management of finances within budget set including delivery of cost improvements.

Desirable

• Two years experience as a deputy lead radiographer.
