Job summary
Halesowen 24 sessions per week | Wednesdays and Fridays
Join a forward-thinking practice that puts patients and people first.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and patient-focused GP to join our team in Halesowen through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS).
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who enjoys delivering high-quality general practice, working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the ongoing development of a progressive primary care service.
We are a CQC-rated Good practice with a strong commitment to clinical quality, continuous improvement and staff wellbeing. We recognise that the best patient care is delivered by a supported, valued and motivated team.
The role
Working 24 sessions per week on Wednesdays and Fridays, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based general medical services to our registered patient population.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve:
Clinical consultations: Assessing, diagnosing and managing patients presenting with a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, using face-to-face and remote consultations as appropriate.
Clinical decision-making: Working autonomously within your competence, recognising when onward referral or escalation is required, and maintaining safe clinical practice.
Continuity and coordination of care: Supporting patients with ongoing healthcare needs and working effectively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate follow-up and coordinated care.
Prescribing and clinical management: Making safe, evidence-based prescribing decisions and managing clinical risk in line with current guidance and practice policies.
Accurate clinical documentation: Maintaining clear, timely and comprehensive patient records, including appropriate coding, safety-netting and follow-up arrangements.
Teamworking: Communicating effectively with GPs, nursing colleagues, ARRS professionals and administrative staff to support efficient patient care.
Quality and improvement: Contributing to clinical governance, significant event discussions and service improvement initiatives, helping us continually enhance the care we provide.
About us
Our practice and culture
We believe that a positive working environment is fundamental to delivering excellent patient care. As a CQC-rated Good practice, we are committed to maintaining high standards while continuing to develop and improve our services.
Staff wellbeing is important to us. We value open communication, mutual respect, teamwork and a sustainable approach to work. We want our clinicians to feel supported, listened to and able to make a meaningful contribution to the practice.
