Job summary

This role provides coordinated administrative and operational support across the service, with a particular focus on prescription management, data quality and governance. It involves supervising and developing administrative staff, managing workloads, resolving complex queries and ensuring accurate, confidential records and documentation.

The post works closely with clinical teams, managers and partner agencies to maintain safe, efficient and consistent service delivery, while supporting staff, systems and continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is required to provide a lead role with responsibility for the day-to-day management and production of clinical prescriptions working alongside administrative staff, clinical team and the operational management team. Coordinating an efficient and effective clinical administrative service to STaRS Services across Staffordshire.

The post-holder must work pro-actively and on their own initiative with a sound understanding of the business of the service and current practices to manage workload and ensure information is communicated appropriately and enquiries are directed correctly.

To ensure that data quality and timelines meet Inclusion and STaRS targets. To manage the Health and Safety requirements under the provision of the Trust's Health and Safety policy in relation to administrative staff and site common areas.

  • OCR (RSA) Text Production and Word Processing Level 3

  • Driving License and access to a vehicle - need to travel as role is county wide

Experience

  • Recent significant experience in a similar role, including the supervision of staff.
  • Working experience of administrative and financial policies and procedures.
  • Experience of prescription management.
