We have an exciting part time opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Wymott, a Category C male prison located in Leyland. Ideally needs to be a car driver due to location of the prison
HMP Wymott has capacity of around 1,100, and has a varied and complex population.
You will be working as apart part of a team of 15 in the mental health team and will be based within the healthcare department and be required to work on the prison wings.HMP Wymott Offers:
- Onsite parking
- Access to onsite gym
- Careers and development opportunities
Hours:
- Monday - Sunday 37.5 hours per week
- 8am - 6pm
- 1 weekend in 5
- 4 week rolling rota
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between £43,60- £49,175 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
- Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
- Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.

- Experience of working within mental health settings, developing knowledge and understanding of this patient group
