We are currently seeking a Care Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, supporting a client with Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy based in South West London.

About the Role

As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £17.49 for day shifts.

This position involves variable part-time hours per week which are day shifts and hours change dependent upon term time and non-term time.

Term time (18 hours per week)

Tuesday - 16:00-22:00

Wednesday - 16:00-22:00

Thursday - 16:00-22:00

Non-term time (36 hours per week)

Tuesday - 8:00 - 20:00

Wednesday - 08:00 - 20:00

Thursday - 08:00 - 20:00

We do require flexibility to cover weekends for annual leave and sickness cover.

Main duties of the job

Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant

  • Assisting our client to meet their personal care and toileting needs
  • Assisting our client with their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Helping with household tasks and meal preparation
  • Supporting our client to attend appointments and community activities
  • Administering medication when required

What Were Looking For

To be successful as a Care Support Assistant, youll need:

  • A caring and empathetic nature
  • Good communication skills
  • A genuine desire to support others
  • Basic IT and record-keeping skills
  • A full UK driving licence is advantageous
  • Experience in working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour would be an advantage full training provided
