Salary: £150 - £250 per day, dependant on experience and qualifications
Location: Bexhill
About the SEN Teacher role
At academics we are looking for an experienced and committed SEN Teacher for a school in Bexhill to support pupils with Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and a range of other special educational needs.
The ideal candidate would be a teacher who can delivers maths, science and English lessons at KS2 level.
Key Responsibilities as SEN teacher
- Plan, deliver and create differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN needs.
- Provide a structured, consistent, and supportive classroom environment.
- Assess individual learning needs, track progress, and adjust teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with other professionals to support holistic development.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour support plans, and risk assessments where necessary.
- Foster strong relationships with pupils, families and carers, offering regular feedback and guidance.
Other Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Proven experience working with children and young people with SEN needs.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and behaviour support strategies.
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply for one.
