Job Description

We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Night Shift Package Handlers in Basingstoke. The role involves scanning, sorting and handling packages in a busy warehouse environment. Packages can weigh approximately 20-25 kg, so the position requires regular manual handling and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Scan packages accurately using warehouse scanning equipment.
• Sort packages according to their destination and delivery requirements.
• Load, unload and move packages safely around the warehouse.
• Regularly lift and handle packages weighing approximately 20-25 kg.
• Check packages for correct labels and scanning information.
• Handle packages carefully to minimise damage.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Work efficiently to meet warehouse targets and deadlines.
• Work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements

• Physically capable of handling packages weighing 20-25 kg.
• Comfortable working night shifts starting at 1:00 AM or 2:00 AM.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Able to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.
• Previous warehouse or parcel-handling experience is beneficial but not essential.
