Locum Senior Information Governance Officer – Full-Time – Remote Working – 6 Month Initial Contract – Up to £45 per hour umbrella

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Senior Information Governance Officer to join a Local Authority on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Information Governance professional to join a friendly and welcoming team.

The Role:Locum Senior Information Governance Officer

Duration: Initial 6 months with potential extensions thereafter

Working Pattern: Full Time, Remote working

Rate: Up to £45 per hour umbrella

Start: ASAP start date

Role Responsibilities:

• Managing the information governance function and overseeing an information Governance Officer
• Coordinating responses to data breaches and dealing with contentious and complex Subject Access Requests and FOI

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience working within Information Governance, ideally within Local Government or the public sector
• Strong working knowledge of Data Protection legislation, FOI and SAR processes
• Experience advising on DPIAs, ROPA and information risk management frameworks
• Ability to provide clear, practical advice and manage a varied workload independently
