Job Title: Inventory Controller
Salary: Circa £32,000 per annum
Location: Deeside
Working Hours: Days-based role, site-based (hours not specified)

My client is seeking an Inventory Controller to maintain stock accuracy across a manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role focused on cycle counting, stock reconciliation, variance investigation, reporting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Duties

• Manage the cycle count programme within Oracle Cloud, including ABC classification and count scheduling.
• Carry out stock counts and maintain Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA) above target.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and process stock adjustments.
• Reconcile bulk tank stock, work-in-progress, and material consumption against BOM standards.
• Monitor and resolve negative stock balances and MRP exceptions.
• Complete month-end inventory reconciliations and support annual stocktakes.
• Identify obsolete, expired, or damaged stock and prepare recommendations for review.
• Support audits and provide inventory reports and reconciliation evidence.
• Deliver inventory accuracy coaching and guidance to operational teams.

Requirements

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• At least two years' inventory or stock control experience within manufacturing.
• Experience using ERP systems, ideally Oracle Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cycle counting, stock variance investigation, and inventory controls.
• Knowledge of BOMs, backflushing, and material consumption analysis.
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Able to work independently and build effective relationships across production, quality, and finance teams.
