Job description
Job responsibilities
This position is newly created in practice to support the Practice Manager in the daily functionality of the business.
Experience of management in primary care is essential for this role to ensure you understand the intricacies of NHS Service delivery.
As this is a new position it may evolve with the right person, however, the expectation is that there would be a mix of:
- business governance
- legislation compliance
- reporting and auditing
- supporting staff across the business
- leading business contracts
- HR support
- Front line support for patient complaints and compliments
There is an expectation that this role will be fully involved within the PPG, with our care homes, with our PCN and with the wider primary care network. The ability to confidently build relationships is paramount to success internally and externally.
We are looking for someone who is competent to be autonomous in this role. However, we are willing - for the right person - to make the first year of this role a 'Trainee Operations Manager' position. This would be for an up and coming primary care star who just needs that experience level to meet this role criteria but they already have the acumen to achieve. There would be an expectation that this first year would provide the experience to meet competency requirements for Operations Manager title within 12 months.
