Job summary

An exciting opportunity for a full time band 7 in Intensive Care on the Castle Hill site. The post holder will work both operationally with other band 7's to manage the elective and emergency work at the Castle Hill Site, and manage both the Hull Royal site and Castle Hill site on a weekend on a rota.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with the wider ICU team to ensure delivery of excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job

The candidate must have excellent leadership and people management skills, and be able to support staff. They must be an excellent role model and promote an open and honest culture. They should have good problem solving skills and have enthusiasm for professional development.

The band 7 will support quality improvement initiatives and help to strengthen governance procedures.

The band 7 will support staff development through appraisals and training opportunities, be inclusive and gain an awareness of support services that are available
