Job summary

Are you looking to further your development in this senior post. If so this post will offer you an excellent opportunity to consolidate and learn new skills in different areas of dietetics specialities particularly adult community and paediatrics

Main duties of the job

In Paediatrics the post holder will have the opportunity to experience a range of specialities including failure to thrive, allergy, learning disabilities, specialist schools, coeliac disease and in-patient ward cover. The paediatric team consists of 3 specialist dietitians and works closely with the paediatric MDT in specialist clinics such as allergy, coeliac disease and feeding clinic. The team is based within the dynamic and friendly Nutrition & Dietetic team but you will have close links with the children's ward, SCBU, CDC and children's out-patients.

In Community the post holder will support the adult oral nutrition community pathway including the care homes service in the Harrogate area. This will be alongside our dedicated and supportive community team. You will be involved in helping to deliver our care home training and education programme as well as being involved in audit at the care homes.

In addition the post holder will have the opportunity to support the home enteral feeding teams within both community and paediatric dietetic team.

  • Registered Dietitian with HCPC
  • Member of the BDA
  • 1 year experience of delivering dietetic assessment and intervention within a range of areas and including adult and paediatrics.
  • 6 months or more community dietetics experience
  • Has gained some experience of working with groups and individuals in practice placement / previous experience and can give examples of this, including preparation, delivery and evaluation of sessions
