Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting to a range ofNursing Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker and Rehabilitation Assistant opportunities available across our services and sites in Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire.
These rewarding roles offer the opportunity to work alongside experienced healthcare professionals and make a real difference to the people who use our services. We welcome applications from experienced healthcare workers as well as individuals looking to begin or develop their career within the NHS. Eligible roles will be offered as an apprenticeship opportunity.
Our opportunities span a variety of clinical and care environments, including mental health, community, inpatient, rehabilitation and specialist services. The exact duties, hours, shift pattern and environment will vary depending on the vacancy.
You will have the opportunity to state your vacancy preference on your application and at interview. If you are appointable at interview but are not successful, you will be given the option to be added to our recruitment pipeline for any future vacancies that arise.

Main duties of the job
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care, promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.
Depending on the role, your responsibilities may include:
- Provide person-centred care and practical support under the direction of registered nurses and qualified professionals
- Assist with daily living, including washing, dressing, continence, nutrition, hydration and mobility
- Promote dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing
- Support care plans, treatment, therapeutic, rehabilitation and recreational programmes
- Assist with admissions, discharges, appointments and community visits
- Undertake delegated clinical observations and procedures, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, weighing and urine testing, when trained
- Monitor physical and mental wellbeing, recognise deterioration and report concerns
- Build positive relationships with patients, relatives and carers, providing reassurance and emotional support
- Work within the multidisciplinary team, contributing to care reviews and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate records and protect confidentiality
- Support safeguarding, infection prevention, health and safety and incident reporting
- Assist with equipment, stock and a safe environment
- Participate in training, supervision and induction of new staff
