Job summary
This post is fixed term/secondment for 18 months tomeet the needs of the service
If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
A well motivated, conscientious person is sought to work in a busy Outpatients Dept. The post will allow the individual to enhance their existing knowledge in a varied clinical setting.
The successful applicant will support the trained Nurse in various specialities ensuring that safe, quality and compassionate care is delivered.
The Outpatients Dept is constantly evolving with developments and added opportunities. A good communicator and team player is essential. An interest in Health Promotion is desirable.
A willingness to develop and practice new skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
- Works as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients within the outpatient setting under supervision provided by aregistered healthcare professional.
- Undertakes personal care activities and clinical care duties with minimal support and supervision as delegated by a registeredhealthcare professional in accordance with the HEIW All Wales Guidelines for Delegation.
- Ensures the registered healthcare professional is regularly updated on the patients/client's condition and progress.
- Ensures the working environment is safe and hygienic following infection prevention and control policies and processes.
- Contributes to the teaching and supervision of students and junior staff.
- Delivers role in accordance with Health Board/Trust Values and Code of Conduct for HCSW's in Wales.
