A contract Quality Inspector position has arisen within a well-established precision manufacturing business supplying complex components into highly regulated engineering sectors. Following continued year-on-year growth, the business requires additional inspection support to meet increasing production demands.
You'll complete in-process inspection, ensure components meet drawing and inspection requirements, support the internal non-conformance process and assist with the introduction of new products.
Quality Inspector responsibilities include -
- Completing first-off, receipt and in-process inspection in line with engineering drawings, manufacturing instructions and inspection plans.
- Using relevant measuring equipment to verify component conformance.
- Raising internal rejects and ensuring containment actions are recorded and communicated.
- Supporting Root Cause Analysis activities following non-conformance.
- Liaising with Engineering to support the smooth transition of new products through NPI.
- Accurately completing job documentation and recording work within the MRP system.
Quality Inspector desirable skills and experience -
- Previous Quality Inspector experience within a precision engineering environment.
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings, job cards and inspection plans.
- Experience inspecting manufactured components using standard measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of first-off, receipt and in-process inspection.
- Experience using Visual FAIR or Q-Pulse would be advantageous.
Quality Inspector contract details -
- Competitive hourly rate.
- Daytime hours, Monday to Friday.
- Flexible starting times.
- 12:00pm finish on Fridays.
- Potential Contract Extension.
