Client Manager / Accounts Manager - Accountancy

Are you an experienced Client Manager looking for your next opportunity within a forward-thinking accountancy practice?

We're looking for a confident, client-focused Client Manager to join our growing team. You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, providing a mix of accounts, tax, bookkeeping, VAT and business advisory services, while supporting the wider team and helping clients achieve their business goals.

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing a portfolio of clients and building strong, long-term relationships
• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, bookkeeping and management accounts
• Providing tax planning, business advice and financial analysis
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections and business plans
• Supporting R&D tax claims, P11Ds and payroll services
• Advising clients on profitability, efficiency and business processes
• Assisting with business valuations and finance raising
• Managing and developing a team of Client Accountants and support staff
• Supporting the training and development of junior team members
• Helping clients maximise the benefits of cloud accounting technology, including Xero
• Working closely with Directors and Senior Client Managers to deliver an excellent client service

We're looking for someone with:

• 5+ years' experience within an accountancy practice
• AAT or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE
• Strong accounts and tax knowledge
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, commercial approach and genuine interest in helping businesses grow
• Experience with Xero, TaxCalc or similar cloud accounting systems would be advantageous
