SRH International College works in partnership with SRH University and is based on the SRH Campus in Heidelberg. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate pathway programmes leading to English-taught degree courses at SRH campuses across Germany.
As part of their preparation for undergraduate degree study, students complete a Pre-Sessional English Language module designed to develop their academic English skills and prepare them for studying in an English-speaking academic environment.
To strengthen our team, we are seeking an English Language Teacher to teach B1-level English from October 2026 until January 2027 on a freelance basis.

Your Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, student-centred English language lessons using prescribed course materials and coursebooks.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and language development.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Prepare, administer, and mark in-semester assessments in accordance with programme requirements.
- Maintain accurate assessment records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality student experience.
- Support students both inside and outside the classroom as appropriate.
Your Profile
- Proven experience teaching English language learners is essential.
- Native-level or near-native proficiency in English.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence using digital learning platforms and educational technology (we use Moodle).
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and supporting student success.
- A degree qualification in English, Linguistics, Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field is desirable.
- A recognised English language teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, DELTA, MA TESOL, or equivalent) is desirable.
- German language skills are advantageous but not essential.
