Aerospace Production Engineer

Location: West Yorkshire
Duration: 6-12 months
Rate: £40-£50ph DOE
Start: ASAP

We’re looking for an experienced Aerospace Production Engineer to join a manufacturing business in West Yorkshire on an initial 6-12 month contract.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment, supporting NPI, production engineering and the introduction of new manufacturing cells and layouts.

• Proven aerospace engineering experience
• Hands-on experience working to AS9100 or an equivalent aerospace quality standard - essential
• Strong knowledge of aerospace regulations, quality systems and engineering documentation
• Experience with NPI, production readiness and setting up new cells/layouts
• Strong understanding of PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, FAIR and APQP
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as stainless steel forming, spot welding, riveting or similar
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
• Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Design Engineering and Planning
• Degree qualified in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
