LOCATION: Exmouth
DURATION:Temporary up to 8 months
SALARY: £13.46
HOURS: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join a Learning Disability Floating Support Service in Exmouth.

You will support adults with learning disabilities to live independently, develop new skills, access their local community and achieve their personal goals.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide person-centred practical and emotional support.
• Support customers with independent living, housing and tenancy matters.
• Develop and review support and safety plans.
• Support with welfare benefits, budgeting and accessing services.
• Identify and manage safeguarding and risk concerns.
• Work alongside customers, colleagues and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and deliver high-quality customer service.

About you:

• Previous experience in support work, social care, housing or a similar setting.
• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities is desirable.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable with lone working and managing your own workload.
• NVQ Level 2 or relevant qualification desirable.
• Access to a vehicle or ability to travel by public transport for work purposes.
