Job summary
Are you a Senior Forensic Social Worker looking to join a company that values and recognises you? Main duties of the job
As a Senior Forensic Social Worker at Thornford Park in Thatcham, you will manage and support a caseload of forensic service users with mental health conditions. You will conduct assessments, prepare CPA reports, and participate in Mental Health Tribunals and Managers Hearings. Supervising junior staff members is also part of the role. You will lead and promote child and adult safeguarding, empowering service users to engage in their care plans. Other responsibilities include leading the multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions, liaising with external agencies like MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, Police and Probation, and supporting carers and families of detained patients.

- A Social Work qualification
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation
- Have at least 2 years’ experience of working in a similar environment
