We're supporting a global organisation with the appointment of a Finance Manager on a 12-month contract. This is a broad finance leadership role with responsibility across financial reporting, consolidation, statutory accounts, controls and audit, alongside the leadership and development of an established finance team.
The role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and involvement in a number of significant finance transformation and systems programmes.
The role
You'll take ownership of key elements of the financial reporting cycle, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely delivery across a portfolio of international entities. You'll also work closely with Group Reporting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A and external auditors, acting as a trusted point of contact on accounting and reporting matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting activities.
- Supporting global consolidation activities and ensuring reporting meets IFRS and group requirements.
- Reviewing financial information and investigating discrepancies across reporting systems.
- Overseeing statutory accounts preparation, filing and external audit processes.
- Providing guidance on technical accounting matters and key accounting judgements.
- Maintaining a strong financial control environment and driving improvements where required.
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of accounting professionals.
- Building effective relationships with senior finance and wider business stakeholders.
- Supporting major finance transformation, ERP and planning system projects.
- Identifying opportunities to improve, standardise and automate finance processes.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a qualified accountant with strong financial reporting and leadership experience, ideally gained within a complex or international environment.
You'll bring:
- ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Strong experience across financial accounting, consolidation, statutory reporting and audit.
- Previous experience leading and developing finance teams.
- A good understanding of IFRS, financial controls and governance.
- Experience working across multiple entities or within a multinational environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence operating with senior finance teams.
- Experience delivering process improvement, finance transformation or systems projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- SAP and/or HFM/Hyperion experience would be advantageous.
