HR Manager | Stand Alone Role - Manufacturing | Tewkesbury - Office Based | 12 months FTC | £45K to £50K plus benefits
Are you an experienced HR Manager looking for a role where you can really own the HR agenda? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global organisation at a pivotal point in its journey, taking responsibility for the day-to-day HR function across its Industrial Group, covering the UK, France and Spain. Based on-site in Tewkesbury, you'll operate as a standalone HR Manager, partnering closely with senior leaders and managers across the business. You'll have the support of the UK Shared Service Team and Centres of Excellence, but will have genuine autonomy to make decisions, influence change and shape the employee experience. A major global reorganisation is already underway, so this is a particularly interesting time to join. You'll play a key role in supporting leaders through change, ensuring communication is clear and consistent, while helping the business navigate the people implications effectively.
The Role
As HR Manager, you'll be the first point of contact for all things HR, providing a broad generalist service across the full employee lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees across the UK, France and Spain.
- Managing a broad range of employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance, redundancy and retirement.
- Coaching and advising managers on employment legislation, HR policy and best practice.
- Supporting the business through a significant global organisational change programme, helping leaders and employees navigate change effectively.
- Working closely with HR colleagues in France and Spain, alongside local HR teams and external advisers, to ensure compliance with local legislation.
- Managing absence reporting and Occupational Health provision, working with managers and employees around wellbeing, reasonable adjustments and successful returns to work.
- Producing HR reports and maintaining accurate employee data, while supporting audits including BSI, HMRC, Home Office and right-to-work compliance.
- Supporting wider People & Culture initiatives including employee engagement, survey action plans, pay reviews, reward and recognition.
- Representing the Tewkesbury site at UK HR meetings and working collaboratively across the wider business to ensure consistency in HR policies and practices.
About You
We're looking for a confident HR Generalist / HR Manager who is comfortable operating independently and being the go-to person for all things people.
You'll ideally have:
- 5+ years' experience working in a broad HR Management.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases independently.
- Experience supporting organisational change and restructuring.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with people at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across different countries and cultures.
- Experience using HR systems and confidence working with data, reporting and HR processes.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience would be desirable.
Most importantly, you'll be proactive, organised and commercially minded, with the confidence to work autonomously, make sound decisions and provide pragmatic HR advice.
