European Credit Manager

Are you an experienced Credit Manager ready to take ownership of a European credit function within a successful international business?

This is an excellent opportunity on a 12-month contract for a confident credit control professional who enjoys leading teams, improving processes and working closely with commercial stakeholders. You'll be responsible for overseeing credit management across Europe, balancing effective cash collection and risk management with strong customer relationships and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a European Credit Control team, setting clear objectives and supporting high performance
• Take ownership of cash collection performance, working towards DSO and working capital targets across the region
• Oversee credit assessments and account management, ensuring appropriate credit limits and terms are applied
• Work closely with Sales and Customer Service to resolve account issues, improve invoicing and payment processes and deliver a strong customer experience

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Credit Manager position within an international organisation
• Strong leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing diverse credit teams
• Commercially minded, with a good understanding of credit risk, collections, cash flow and working capital
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to manage difficult conversations and resolve disputes constructively
• Highly organised and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities effectively
• Strong Excel and database skills, with experience using Oracle or a comparable ERP system
