Children Residential Support Worker

We are looking for caring, reliable and motivated Residential Support Workers across the Teessidearea to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centered care to children and young people within residential settings.
About the Role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day support to children and young people, helping them to develop their independence, confidence and life skills.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing nurturing and person-centered support.
- Supporting children with daily routines and personal care where required.
- Supporting activities, hobbies and community outings.
- Helping children develop independence and life skills.
- Supporting school runs, appointments and meetings where required.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Following individual care and support plans.
- Promoting choice, dignity, wellbeing and independence.
- Maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Following safeguarding procedures and company policies.
- Completing relevant records and documentation.
- Working positively as part of a wider care team.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Caring, compassionate and patient.
- Reliable and committed to providing high-quality support.
- Confident working with children and young people.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to support some weekends.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willing to work across different locations when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, or a related subject is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
- Relevant training will be provided where required.
