We now seek an additional Laundry Assistant who is passionate about, and thrives on, making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people. Working in collaboration and unison with the Housekeeper and the wider domestic team you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient running of all laundry processes in the home. This will include giving your undivided attention and care to all items for laundering, performing minor repairs to the residents personal items of clothing whilst being respectful and supportive of individual and differing needs. Continually and compassionately assess all aspects of residents laundry requirements

Main duties of the job

As a Laundry Assistant at Akari Care, you'll work closely with both the Housekeeper and the wider domestic team, playing a vital role in the seamless and efficient management of laundry processes within the home. You'll provide meticulous attention and care to all laundered items and undertake minor repairs on residents' personal clothing. Your role requires a high degree of sensitivity to the individual needs of residents, taking into account their diverse religious and cultural backgrounds to ensure a genuinely personalized service. We value compassionate commitment and active assessment of each resident's laundry needs, fostering a respectful and supportive environment. Your keen eye for cleanliness will ensure the laundry room is tidy and that equipment remains well-maintained, setting a high standard for colleagues and enriching the community spirit within our award-winning homes.
