Employment Coach

We are currently working with a social housing charity in London to recruit an Employment Coach on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of residents living in supported accommodation, helping them build skills, confidence and independence and supporting them to access education, training, volunteering and employment opportunities.

Rate: £34,825 per annum

Contract: 3 months temporary to permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00

Location: Kilburn

Key responsibilities:

• Build positive and professional relationships with residents, encouraging trust, engagement and participation
• Assess residents’ goals, strengths and barriers and develop practical plans to help them progress towards education, training and employment
• Support residents with CV writing, job searches, applications, interview preparation and digital skills
• Identify and develop links with employers, colleges, training providers, volunteering organisations and other relevant services
• Provide ongoing mentoring and support to help residents sustain positive outcomes
• Plan and deliver group activities and workshops covering areas such as employability, digital skills, budgeting, cooking and healthy eating, confidence-building and wellbeing
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and use their feedback to help shape future opportunities
• Work collaboratively with Supported Housing Officers, external agencies and other professionals to provide a coordinated service
• Maintain accurate records, monitor outcomes and contribute to service improvement

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of supporting vulnerable adults in housing, social care or community settings
• Proven experience of planning, delivering employability, education, training or support programmes
