Job summary
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, installation, modification and repairs to Hospital plant equipment and property including external doors, fire doors, access doors, wooden, plastic and aluminium windows, flooring, suspended ceilings, walls, fire proofing, electrical and mechanical closers, various types of locks and locking mechanisms, interior and external signage, fencing and various fixing and fixtures, glass and glazing. Maintain decorations both internal and external of all Health Board properties and cleanliness of fabric, plant and equipment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assist in providing day to day maintenance services and support for the Health Board. They will be part of a multi disciplinary team able to work autonomously, but will be guided by occupational policies and procedures. Will contribute to partnership working by supporting the Health Board in delivering goals and objectives by supporting continuous improvement in own performance and the performance of the directorate. Attending training, development and other activities aimed at improving own skills for the benefit of the organisation and patient care.

This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listingand selectingcandidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
