Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Specialist Safeguarding practitioner to join our highly respected Integrated Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting opportunity to influence safeguarding practice across community, acute Trust, mental health and learning disability services, ensuring children, young people and families receive the right support at the right time.

As a Specialist Safeguarding practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting staff across both Royal Cornwall Hospital and Cornwall Foundation Trust to recognise, respond to and manage safeguarding concerns. You will provide expert advice, supervision, training and professional leadership to help ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of everything we do.

Main duties of the job

o Plan and provide supervision, support, training and advice and act as a source of specialist knowledge for CPFT in matters relating to safeguarding children.o Work countywide under the direction of the Named Nurse for safeguarding children.o Develop partnership working with statutory and voluntary organisations to aid communication and provide better outcomes for children and families.o Ensure robust communication takes place minimising risks to the children, families and the organisation.o Undertake audits to monitor the robust and quality decision making in children safeguarding
