Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Category Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Category Strategies for assigned sub-group of categories, balancing short and long-term objectives to meet business strategy.
• Support and execute stakeholder management.
• Delivering benefits through category management interventions within a complex project / programme delivery environment.
• Adopt a polite yet tenacious attitude to achieve goals and move projects towards completion.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5 years’+ category management experience.
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
• Supplier relationship management skills and experience.
• Running procurements, end to end.
• SC clearance.
• Sole UK national.
• Ability to Support existing Category Manager.
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
• Strategic.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels and strong communication skills.
• Able to support putting together packs/materials for supplier reviews.
• Proficient MS Office 365.

Desirable:

• Public procurement background.
• Defence experience is highly desirable.
• Some contract management involvement, good to have.
• Jaggaer would be beneficial.
• CIPS & MCIPS.
