Senior Finance manager

As a Senior Finance Manager in the public sector, you'll oversee financial operations to ensure everything runs smoothly and supports organisational goals. This role is based in South Yorkshire and involves working closely with multiple teams to deliver accurate financial reporting and effective budgeting.

Description

• Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across departments to manage financial performance.
• Provide financial advice to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Identify and implement process improvements within financial operations.
• Supervise and support finance team members as needed.
• Contribute to audits and other financial reviews.

Profile

A successful Senior Finance Manager should have:

• Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance, such as CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong experience in financial reporting and budgeting.
• Excellent knowledge of public sector financial regulations.
• Proven ability to manage and analyse complex financial data.
• Good communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in improving financial processes and systems.
• Confidence in managing teams and mentoring staff.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £57,000 to £65,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Flexible working arrangement, with office presence required just once a week.
• Office locations rotate between Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and Barnsley.
• 6-month fixed-term contract.
